International Admissions

Eligibility & Entry
Kambala is CRICOS provider 02284M for a small number of full-fee-paying overseas students. Student-visa Junior School students must be over six and live with a parent or grandparent; Year 11 overseas entrants must be under 19.[1]
Application Steps
  • Submit online Application for Enrolment with required materials.
  • If offered, sign offer documents and pay the entrance fee and FFPOS deposit.
  • Kambala then issues CoE and, where applicable, CAAW for the student-visa application.[1]

  • AUD $300 non-refundable application fee.
  • Birth certificate and passport photo page.
  • Translated recent school reports.

Assessment & Interview
Applicants schooled fully in English take placement tests in English, Mathematics and General Ability. Other overseas applicants from Year 3 take AEAS testing; placement is at the Principal’s discretion.[1]
English Requirements
Senior AEAS minimums are 61+ (Y7–8), 71+ (Y9–10), and 81+ (Y11) for overseas students not fully schooled in English.[1]
ELICOS Acceptance
Some overseas applicants may be required to attend an intensive English course before commencing; no approved provider is named.[1]
Timing & Key Dates
Main entry points are Preparation, Y5, Y7 and Y10; places are offered two years ahead. Overseas Y10 and Y11 starts must be in January. 2026 terms run 30 Jan–2 Apr, 21 Apr–26 Jun, 21 Jul–25 Sep and 13 Oct–2 Dec.(2026)[1][2][3]

Accommodation & Welfare

Under-18 Welfare
Overseas students not living with parents or approved relatives must live in boarding; the overseas guide outlines school welfare responsibility during approved arrangements.[1]
CAAW Issuance
Overseas boarders receive CAAW. Following accepted offer and payments, Kambala issues CoE and CAAW documents where required.[1]
Boarding
Fernbank provides family-style boarding for about 50 girls in Years 7–12, term-time only.[1][2]
Day Student
Day enrolment is available; student-visa pupils through Year 6 must live with a parent or grandparent.[1]
Homestay
Kambala does not offer homestay.[1]
Local Guardianship
A local contact person is required for students not living with parents; relatives for Years 7–12 require Department of Home Affairs approval.[1]
